You have got to cover the essentials
- Firstly you need to list your engineering degree or similar qualification/education
- Relevant work experience - especially if it relates to the job you are applying for
- List your contact details including LinkedIn. Potential employers check up on you, so be transparent
- Do you need to have any licenses to do what you do? You could include a section on 'certifications'.
It is going to come down to skills – a combination of hard and soft
Some hard skills are a given for engineers, but list them anyway. You might not be interviewed by an engineer.

Soft skills are a little harder to come by, these are the desirable skills such as working well with others, working to tight deadlines, problem solving for a potential employer. This is where you could stand out.
